I created this project based off of the popular card game, "Cards Against Humanity". It was a fun project that used my web design and database skills to bring the game to life for all to enjoy.

The Pathfinder Character Database

Pathfinder is a popular role-playing game (RPG) that I enjoy playing/running with my friends. We all keep a number of characters around for each game in which we play, and sometimes people forget their character sheets, so I created this databasse tool to use for when this happens. You can import your character from Hero Labs, and also export from the PFCDB back to hero labs. It also has a printable format, so you can output straight to hard copy if desired.

Document Search Tool

  • Tech Used:
  • C#
  • MSSQL
  • Git

This project was created to assist my teammates at CareFusion in cross document searching. We have an ever expanding library of documents, and it becomes tedious to look in each one for the information you need. This tool searches all documents in a local directory, indexes terms and provides the most relevant results to your search.

Martial Arts

  • Skills Utilized:
  • Discipline
  • Focus

At first, I was not going to include this, but as I thought about it, I decided that this is a large part of my personality and shows the importance of physical health, stamina and dedication in my life. Martial arts gives me an outlet for excess energy, helps to build focus and discipline. I feel that all of these things are essential to the working of a healthy body and analytical mind. I have been a practicioner of Aikido, Kempo, Tai Chi and Escrima for two years, and I really love it!

Creative Writing

  • Skills Utilized:
  • Writing
  • Game Design

I like to write stories. I've written a few children's stories, a number of short stories, and am working on a novel. Additionally, I have written a large number of open-framework stories for my Pathfinder adventures. These can be difficult to write, as they need to be left open for the imagination of the players to fill in the detailed actions, so you have to consider many options as you write.

Game World Design

  • Skills Utilized:
  • Writing
  • Game Design
  • Statistics

I have been working on writing the lore and game mechanics for a Pathfinder game world supplement. This includes creating new races and classes, assigning traits, skill bonuses and abilities and keeping it all balanced with pre-existing Pathfinder races and classes. It has been an ongoing project for quite some time, and I hope to be able to publish it as a physical book within the next year or two.
